Role: campaign art direction, social content production

Situation:
Wine in cans? Might be trendy, might be here to stay. At any rate, it’s a convenient way to keep wine crisp and fresh, not to mention extremely portable. Washington winery 14 Hands, under the larger portfolio of Ste Michelle Wine Estates, tasked our team with creating a largely digital campaign for the launch of their canned wine products. In other words, they wanted to bring wine to a beer fight.

Action:
Well, I’m from Milwaukee, so this felt a bit sacrilegious at first. We opted to riff on established beer advertising motifs. While a cornerstone of American culture in their own right, we felt they were due for a major update. Our spots both harkened back to the beer advertising days of olde, and added a twist of new irreverence, and, of course, delicious canned wine. These spots were filmed in Washington state, both on-site and in studio.
